Boviet Solar only specialized in Mono-Crystalline PV technology due to its great benefits and features. Mono-crystalline silicon is the most common and efficient silicon -based material employed in photovoltaic cell production. This element is often referred to as single-crystal silicon. It consists of silicon, where the entire solid crystal lattice is continuous, unbroken to its edges, and free from grain limits of pure silicon.

The monocrystalline silicon ingots from which silicon wafers are created are manufactured by a technique called the CZ (Czochralski) crystal growth process. To maximize the utility of the cells, the circular wafers are wire cut to an octagonal-shaped wafer. These cells have a unique look because of the octagonal shape. They also have a uniform color.

  • Monocrystalline solar cells are made from a high purity monocrystalline silicon, making them the most efficient converting sunlight into electricity./li>
  • Monocrystalline solar cell modules have higher power output of the same size module and lower balance of system cost.
  • They are also the most space-efficient form of silicon solar cell. In fact, they take up the least space of any solar panel technology that is currently on the market.
  • The longest lasting solar cell technology, with their life expectancy more than 25 years.
  • Due to their uniform all black color look they provide beautiful aesthetic especially for residential roof applications.


Adapting and improving upon best-in-class technology has been a key driver behind Boviet Solar’s success and it’s central to our future. Solar cell technology used to manufacture photovoltaic (PV) modules is constantly evolving as a new, more advanced, and more efficient technologies are developed.

The company’s internal and external R&D activities encompass product power, efficiency, and reliability , as well as advanced PV cell technologies such as PERC, TOPCon and PV module technologies such as Monofacial and Bifacial. In addition to internal R&D team and activities, Boviet Solar collaborates with USTH University, VNU University and HUST university in Vietnam and Nanchang University in China.

Current R&D efforts are focusing on the development of high-efficiency cell technology N-Type TOPCon and 600W+ high power class PV modules.

  1. N-Type TopCon Cell Technology: An N-type solar cell consists of a thin p-type silicon (doped with boron) layer over a much thicker n-type silicon (doped with phosphorus) layer. Electrical contacts are applied to both sides. The p-side in the front facing the sun. TOPCon (Tunnel oxide passivated contact) solar cell technology is a new technology with the potential to replace PERC (passivated emitter and rear cell contact) and PERT (passivated emitter rear totally diffused) cell technologies. TOPCon solar cells represent an upgraded and more efficiency technology compared to PERC/PERT solar cells but featuring a highly similar structure. The ultimate efficiency of P-Type PERC is about 24.5% and the ultimate efficiency of N-Type TOPCon cell is about 28.7%.
  2. TopCon 600 W+ PV Module: Solar energy technologies has progressed rapidly in recent years, less than a decade ago the maximum output for PV modules averaged less than a few hundred watts. In addition to their output, high-wattage PV modules have a higher efficiency output than lower watt PV modules. Their higher output also means that clients will need a fewer modules and other related equipment to complete the same solar projects.

Every year, Kiwa PVEL publishes the PV Module Reliability Scorecard, which provides independent, long-term reliability and performance data that developers, investors, and asset owners refer to when choosing PV modules for their projects. It summarizes results from the PV Module Product Qualification Program (PQP), a comprehensive testing regime established by PVEL in 2012 to provide empirical data for PV module supplier benchmarking and project-level energy yield and financial models.
