Founded in 2013 in Vietnam, Boviet Solar, a subsidiary company of Boway Alloy, is a Tier 1 solar technology company that specializes in the manufacturing of Monocrystalline PERC and TOPCon PV cells and Gamma Series Monofacial and Vega Series Bifacial PV modules, as well as solar project development. The company works with IPPs, EPCs, project developers, solar installers, and contractors to deliver top-performing PV modules for utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and residential solar projects. As of 2023, Boviet Solar’s annual PV cell and PV module manufacturing capacity is 3.0 GW, and it has shipped a total of 4.4 GW since 2013, mainly to the U.S. market.

With a proven track record of successfully working with many of the industry’s leading players, Boviet Solar has maintained its position as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 solar module manufacturer since 2017. Boviet Solar’s PV Modules are known for their power, performance, and quality and have been rated as top performers on PVEL’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard since 2019. Black & Veatch successfully completed an independent audit of Boviet Solar’s manufacturing facilities in 2022. Boviet Solar has offices in the United States, Germany, and China, with its global headquarters in Vietnam.

TIER 1 BANKABILITY
Boviet Solar has maintained Bloomberg New Energy Finance Tier 1 position since 2017.
As the industry transitions to a demand driven market, large installers, project developers, banks and investors increasingly recognize the importance of partnering with a PV module supplier that has the scale, exceptional product portfolio, and financial stability to back up a PV module warranty.
Every quarter, Bloomberg New Energy Finance evaluates manufacturers on their projects over the previous quarter and publishes a list of Tier 1 PV Module Manufacturers. In addition to the real-world performance and customers’ feedback on products, the consistency of heavy investments in R&D, after-sales service, and utility grade projects are also considered as an indirect measure of the product’s reliability. BloombergNEF’s tiering system for PV module manufacturers is based on bankability to help purchasers of PV modules distinguish between the hundreds of modules available today.

MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE
Boviet Solar successfully completed Black and Veatch independent assessment of its PV module manufacturing bankability.
During the PV factory assessment, B&V critically observed each step of the manufacturing process for the Gamma Series™ and Vega Series™ PV modules in our factory in Vietman. B&V observed that all manufacturing processes followed at the factory are consistent with accepted industry practices.
Research and Development
Adapting and improving upon best-in-class PV technology has been a key driver behind Boviet Solar’s success and is central to our future. The company’s internal and external R&D activities encompass product power, efficiency, and reliability, as well as advanced PV product technologies such as PERC, half-cut cell, multi-busbar cell, large wafer design.
Current R&D efforts are focusing on development of high-efficiency cell technology N-Topcon, high power 600+W PV module product development.
