BOVIET SOLAR HIGHLIGHTS ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF ITS U.S. MANUFACTURING EXPANSION IN NORTH CAROLINA

BOVIET SOLAR HIGHLIGHTS ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF ITS U.S. MANUFACTURING EXPANSION IN NORTH CAROLINA

SAN JOSÉ, California — January 26, 2026 — Boviet Solar (“Boviet Solar” or the “Company”), a leading solar energy technology company specializing in high-efficiency monocrystalline PV cells and Gamma Series™ Monofacial and Vega Series™ Bifacial PV modules, today outlined the significant economic, social, and environmental impact of its U.S. manufacturing expansion in Greenville, North Carolina, as construction continues on the Company’s Phase II PV cell manufacturing facility.

Economic Impact: Capital Investment and Regional Growth

Boviet Solar’s state-of-the-art Phase II PV cell factory began construction in January 2025 as part of the Company’s long-term strategy to establish a fully integrated U.S. solar manufacturing platform. Phase II represents an additional capital investment of approximately $100 million and will span approximately 600,000 square feet once completed. The facility will manufacture advanced P-Type and N-Type solar cells, strengthening domestic solar manufacturing capacity in the United States.

Phase II builds upon the successful commissioning of Boviet Solar’s Phase I U.S. PV module manufacturing facility, which officially opened on April 24, 2025, also in Greenville. Boviet Solar invested approximately $294 million in the Phase I facility, which encompasses 521,468 square feet and manufactures Gamma Series™ Mono-Monofacial and Vega Series™ Mono-Bifacial PV modules for utility-scale, community-solar, commercial, industrial, and residential solar projects nationwide.

Together, Phase I and Phase II represent a total direct investment of up to $394 million by Boviet Solar in North Carolina. Beyond direct capital deployment, this investment generates substantial indirect and induced economic activity through partnerships with regional suppliers, construction firms, logistics providers, transportation companies, and local service businesses. The combined regional economic impact of Boviet Solar’s U.S. manufacturing expansion is estimated to be between $700 million and $900 million, reinforcing eastern North Carolina’s role in advanced clean-energy manufacturing and industrial growth.

Social Impact: Job Creation, Workforce Development, and Community Benefits

Boviet Solar’s U.S. manufacturing expansion is expected to create more than 1,200 skilled manufacturing and operations jobs across both Phase I and Phase II, including over 900 positions associated with the Phase II PV cell facility. These roles support long-term career opportunities in advanced manufacturing, engineering, operations, and clean-energy technologies.

By establishing a long-term operational presence in Greenville, Boviet Solar contributes to local workforce development, skills training, and economic stability, helping build a highly skilled clean-energy manufacturing workforce. The Company’s investment supports families, strengthens local communities, and fosters long-term employment pathways aligned with the growing U.S. renewable-energy sector.

Environmental Impact: Strengthening the Clean-Energy Supply Chain

Boviet Solar’s manufacturing facilities in North Carolina play a critical role in advancing the domestic clean-energy supply chain, supporting the production of high-performance PV cells and modules that enable large-scale deployment of solar energy across the United States.

By expanding U.S.-based manufacturing, Boviet Solar helps reduce reliance on imported components while accelerating the transition to renewable energy and lowering carbon emissions associated with electricity generation. The Company’s investment aligns economic growth with environmental stewardship, supporting national clean-energy goals through responsible, high-quality solar manufacturing.

“Our U.S. manufacturing expansion represents more than a factory investment, it’s a long-term commitment to jobs, communities, and sustainable economic growth,” said Marco Marquez, North Carolina Factory General Manager at Boviet Solar. “By building advanced PV cell and module manufacturing in Greenville, we are supporting local workforce development, strengthening domestic supply chains, and delivering clean-energy solutions that benefit both the region and the country.”

Boviet Solar’s U.S. manufacturing expansion positions North Carolina as a national leader in advanced solar manufacturing, integrating significant capital investment with workforce opportunity and environmental progress. By strengthening domestic clean-energy supply chains and supporting U.S. energy independence, the Company’s long-term presence delivers lasting value not only for local communities and employees, but also for customers, investors, and partners across the clean-energy economy. This integrated approach reinforces Boviet Solar’s role as a stable, future-ready contributor to America’s renewable-energy infrastructure and economic growth.
